Welcome to Crafty Collaborations Share It Sunday blog hop. This is our version of a Showcase Hop. We get to share whatever we would like with you today! We hope to inspire you to make a card or project- or two!
Have you ever wondered how to combine a photo holiday card with a handmade card? Well, I’m here to help you do that. Check out this card.

I selected a fun photo of my grandson and me to showcase this card. The striped pattern from the Take a Bow pack of papers is a perfect complement to the photo as is that sentiment from from the Sweetest Star stamp set.
Here’s the back of the photo card.

This card has a fair amount of weight to it and if it were a regular tent fold, I know it would slide open and flatten itself out rather quickly. To prevent that, there is an extra piece of card stock holding the front and back together. This little piece is critical for making this card design work.
Here’s a side view of the card so you can see that piece.

measurements for making the holiday photo cards
- Card Base: 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″
- Card stock 4 1/4″ x 3 1/2″, score at 1/2″, 1 3/4″, and 3″ with the long side at the top
- Patterned Paper 5 1/4″ x 4″
Please watch the video to see exactly how to create this card and trim your photo to fit.
Here’s another example of a photo card. This one I made to keep in my craft room to remind me of how much fun we had at On Stage last March. This one uses Petunia Pop and a floral paper from the Unbounded Beauty papers.

I hope you have been inspired to try this Photo card for any occasion- baby announcement, Christmas, engagement, etc.
