This. Is. Brilliant. I just love this little trick! I wish I could say that I thought of it myself. I actually saw another demonstrator, “Stampin on the Back Porch,” show how she scores a 3/4 inch flap on her two sided papers so that she has a contrasting border at the top! I love both sides so much that I wanted a bigger piece of the second color showing so I scored at 1.5 inches and then folded it over! (My piece was 4 1/2 inches wide and 6 inches long to start.) |
I added this to a white card base with a large sentiment at the top, wrapped a piece of ribbon around it, stamped the inside sentiment and called it a card! Quick and easy and as cute as can be!
It’s a great card that’s quick and easy to make! Any two-sided patterned paper (Designer Series Paper or DSP) would work so grab a piece and give it a try!
P.S. The patterned paper and two stamps sets used here are retiring! They are available while supplies last until June 3!
Gorgeous papers. Great technique. Wonderful cards. Creative and easy.
Thanks, Jan. I love that set of paper. Such fun patterns.
I do like a quick and colorful card. Thanks for the inspiration!
