You're In My Thoughts for World Card Making Day

Welcome to Festive Friday #FF0218 where we are celebrating World Cardmaking Day! Below you will see our Inspo List that was inspired by this holiday. We hope the Inspo list will inspire you to create a card based on the theme and/or the inspiration list. Your card doesn’t have to celebrate the holiday. It is okay for it to look very different! There is a new Festive Friday Challenge every other week

This card features a paper from the Whispering Woods paper pack. The way the colors are layered it looks like it has texture and patterns built in. I love the subtle blending of colors. The sentiment is from the Rolling Waves stamp set. A little ribbon tied with twine gives it just enough of a focal point. I couldn’t bear to cover up any more of this gorgeous paper.

The “A little something to say hello” sentiment is one I find myself using frequently. It is from the Simply Leaves stamp set.

instructions for the You’re in my Thoughts for World Cardmaking day

Cut a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ card base and score at 4 1/4″. Burnish the fold.
Adhere a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White to the front of the card base.
Wrap the White Textured ribbon around the 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ piece of Whispering Woods paper. Tie the ends with a piece of white Baker’s Twine.
Die cut a 1 3/4″ Stylish Shapes circle from a scrap of Basic White.
Rub it with the embossing buddy. Ink the stamp in Versamark and then Pretty Peacock.
Immediately sprinkle with clear embossing powder and heat set.
Add the sentiment to the front on dimensionals.
Add three white Shimmering Dots.
On a second piece of Basic White cut 5 1/4″ x 4″ add a 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ piece of DSP along the bottom edge.
Adhere to the inside of the card.
