Wildly Flowering Happy Thoughts Card

Welcome to our Ink Stamp Share Monthly Blog Hop! Today we are going to Case the Annual Catty! It’s so much fun to browse through the catalog and select a card to CASE- Copy And Share Everything. I chose the Sending Happy Thoughts card on page 40. I did a pretty close copy changing only the colors of some of the papers and inks.

Here’s my card and the card I cased is below it. I changed the card base to Moody Mauve and added a wee bit of patterned paper peeking out on the sides. I also added texture to the stamped piece.

I am loving the Wildly Flowering bundle and the beautiful Wildly Flowering papers. I couldn’t resist using them both for this card.

instructions for Wildly flowering Happy thoughts card

1. Cut a Moody Mauve card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
2. On a piece of Basic White cut 3 1/4″ x 5″, stamp your imaes in Moody Mauve, Wild Wheat, and Misty Moonlight. Be sure to add the dots to the lower left and upper right. (Stamp off with Wild Wheat to do these.)
3. Emboss this piece with the Dashing Designs 3D Embossing Folder.
4. Adhere one 1/2″ x 4″ piece of Wild Wheat flowered patterned paper to each side of the Basic White piece. Adhere to the front of the card base.
5. Prepare a 7/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Misty Moonlight card stock with the Embossing Buddy. Stamp the Sending Happy Thoughts sentiment with VersaMark. Sprinkle with White Embossing Powder and heat set.
6. Use dimensionals on just outer 1/2″ of each end to adhere to the front.
7. On a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White, layer a 1/2″ x 4″ piece of the same Wild Wheat patterned paper. Adhere to the inside of the card.
