Vellum & Translucent Florals Thank You

Welcome to the Winners’ Hop! I’m thankful to be here and grateful for all of you who voted for my card this month. You can see that Polished Stone card in this post. I’ve created a thank you card using our Specialty Vellum and the Translucent Floral stamp set.

Isn’t that Pretty Peacock and Parakeet Party patterned paper the best? It’s part of the Delightful Florals pack and it is so beautiful. The Vellum Basics Specialty paper adds a bit of extra interest to the background of the florals and I love the embossed leaves added to it. There are 3 patterns in the Vellum Basics Specialty pack- this one with leaves, as well as stripes, and polka dots, too. It’s one of those items that is easy to miss in the annual catalog.

I do have a tip for you when heat embossing on vellum. Get yourself a small clip board and clip the vellum into that while you melt the embossing powder. It protects your fingers and prevents the vellum from curling. Also be sure to preheat your heat tool.

The flowers are stamped in Pretty Peacock and Parakeet Party to match the beautiful patterned paper underneath. The card base is Pretty Peacock to match as well. Wondering where that Thank You is from? It belongs to the Nested Friends stamp set.
