Welcome to the January 2025 Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. As we do each month we had a photo and color challenge to inspire us and you to make a card. Here’s our inspiration…

I have chosen to be inspired by the flowers and the green grass. Using three sheets of the To Market paper, I created these three cards using a Stack & Shuffle Method.

The patterned paper was adhered directly to the card base on this card and then decorated. The die cut on this card is from the Mixed Media Florals and the sentiment is from the Garden Meadow stamp set.

On this card, the three pieces were adhered to Basic White (5 1/4″ x 4″) and then embossed with the Starstruck Embossing Folder. The Hello sentiment is also from Garden Meadow stamp set. A bit of Natural Linen Twine in Garden green adds a nice touch.

The layers on this card were also adhered to a white mat and then embossed with the Tin Tiles embossing folder.
instructions for the Stack and Shuffle technique
- Cut a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of patterned paper from 3 different patterns.
- Stack them together on your trimmer in portrait orientation. Turn the top of the pile to the right and make a cut about 1 inch down on the left side across to a lower point on the right side. Keep the three layers together but slide them off the trimmer.
- Orient the paper back in portrait mode and rotate left. Cut from just about 1″ down from the top right edge a point about 1″ above the bottom left corner.
- Lay all three sections in the correct orientation. Take the top piece of paper off the middle pile of papers and put it on the bottom.
- Take the first paper off the bottom pile of papers and put it on the bottom. Then take the next paper and put that on the bottom.
- Your three piles should each have a different patterned paper on top.
- Your first card will have the top paper from all three piles, the second card will have the second paper from each pile and the third card the third set of papers.
- Adhere your three papers to the card base or to a 5 1/4″ x 4″ Basic White mat if you want to emboss- and then to the front of the card base.
- Add a die cut, bow and a die cut label with a sentiment. Then add some bling!

Such a fab way to use our DSP with the embossing folders, Lorraine. x
Thanks, Angie.
Lovely cards Lorraine and a great technique. Love how you have used the embossing folder to pull everything together x
thank you, Mo
A stack and shuffle card is a great showcase for the DSP! My favourite is the one embossed with the Starburst folder!
