The Tidings of Christmas Treat Box is such an easy way to step up your gift giving for neighbors, teachers, co-workers and family. Who wouldn’t love such a beautiful presentation of chocolates? You can even slip a gift card into the box behind the chocolate for an extra surprise!
This box is quick and easy to put together as it starts with the Acetate Card box….in fact, you can get two treat boxes from each card box! Add a bit of Tidings of Christmas patterned paper and a sentiment from Tidings & Trimming stamp set and Viola! You are done.
Instructions for Tidings of Christmas Treat box
- Cut the acetate box at 4″ so you have two equal pieces. Then fold one half into an open box.
- Cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock 4 3/8″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 3″ and 3 5/8″.
- Cut the front flap with the angled die from the Basic Borders die.
- Cut one piece of Tidings of Christmas paper 4 3/8″ x 1″ and a second piece 4 3/8″ x 1/4″.
- Adhere these to the Cherry Cobbler piece as shown.
- Place a glue dot at each corner on the back of the Cherry Cobbler piece and slide into the open end of the box. Use your bone folder to reach in and rub the glue dots into place.
- Wrap nine candies with 1″ x 3″ pieces of Tidings of Christmas patterned paper. Use liquid glue to adhere the paper around the candy.
- On a scrap of basic white, stamp your sentiment in Cherry Cobbler Ink.
- Die cut with the label from Stitched So Sweetly dies and adhere to the front so it overlaps the decorative flap and holds it closed.
- Add a small bow with a glue dot.

What a great idea! Love it.
What a fabulous little project… I wish we had these chocolates in the UK as I see so many boxes to hold them!
That’s so sad that you don’t have the nuggets. Best candy for wrapping!
Love how you decorated the acetate boxes. Very clever.
