Tidings of Christmas Stack & Shuffle Cards

You will love the Stack and Shuffle technique used to make these Tidings of Christmas cards. It’s as easy as choosing 4 pieces of coordinating patterned paper, cutting your paper according to the template and adhering them to a card base (or mat.) As you can see, they look great with a variety of shapes for your sentiment or focal image. The sentiments are from the Tidings & Trimmings and the Christmas to Remember stamp sets.

Here are 4 cards made with the Whimsy & Wonder suite. I love the shimmer and shine with this paper!

Instructions

1. Select your 4 pieces of patterned paper and cut to 5 1/4″ x 4″.

2. Stack your papers and cut your paper according to this template- all 4 pieces at once. This will give you 4 Stacks. They will all have the same patterned paper on top.

3. After you have shuffled your 4 stacks of paper, you’ll be ready to assemble your cards. Watch the video to see how to “Shuffle” your stacks.

4. Adhere to your 4 card bases. Add a die cut for your sentiment and mat the sentiment, if desired. Add bling. You have now created 4 Stack & Shuffle cards.

Watch a short video that demonstrates how I create these cards. In the video, I did cut the patterned paper slightly smaller (3 3/4″ x 5″) and added a mat. The template for cutting that size paper is below the video.

Use 3 3/4″ x 5″ pieces of patterned paper and a mat (4″ x 5 1/4″) with this template. The rest of the instructions are the same as above.

Here are the cards made in the video. The mat provides a different POP of color. Which do you like best?

I like your new favorite as well, matted or using the base card as a mat. So easy to cut both the DSP and the mat with your diagram. “Cobwebs keep quiet, dust go to sleep; I’m making these cards because love gifts won’t keep.”
