The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.
Today we are sharing alternative ideas for the May 2024 The Best There Is Paper Pumpkin kit. The kits are always beautiful and I usually put the majority of the cards together as directed. It’s a relaxing fun hour or so of crafting without having to do any prep work. I love that and I think you will too!

The wood grain papers coordinate with the Country Woods Designer Series paper which helps if you’d like to make more cards. Of course, you could also purchase the refill- if you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber. (If you are not, I really suggest you give it a try. You can cancel at any time.)
You can see in the card that I made, I was up to my old tricks. I cut the Basic Beige card base in half and trimmed it to 5 1/4″ x 4″. In the corner I stamped the trees from the stamps included with the kit and then adhered the mat to a Misty Moonlight card base. (Cut 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″.)
To make my focal point, I cut a Spotlight on Nature circle from the multicolored wood grain paper and then a larger circle from Misty Moonlight and adhered them together. The “Thanks” die from the Thanks & Beyond Paper Pumpkin add on was die cut twice. Once from a scrap of Early Espresso card stock and then again from a scrap of Misty Moonlight. They were adhered slightly off set so the Early Espresso peeks out above the Misty Moonlight. This was then popped up on the circles with dimensionals.
