Welcome to the March Fun/Fancy Folds Blog Hop! We hope you are inspired to try making several of these fun cards.

The Lovely Garden suite is truly lovely and makes beautiful cards. I used all elements of the suite on this card with the exception of the Fresh Freesia ribbon. The masks make the coloring so easy and bold! I love them.
Here is the card standing and partially open!

It’s an off set gatefold, I think. Sounds good, doesn’t it? I love the sentiment. It’s simple yet so meaningful.
Here’e the card fully opened. I stamped the inside with “stamped off” ink and will write my message over the image. Wish me luck!

The Lovely Garden suite is the focus of our Fun Folds ‘N More stamp camp on May 3. You can find out more about it just below the Blog Hop list.
Let’s make one of these easy fun fold cards.
instructions for Thankful Garden quick and easy fun fold
- Cut a Highland Heather card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score the 8 1/2″ side at 2 3/4″ and 7″.
- Fold and burnish the score lines.
- Cut a “window pane” patterned piece of the Lovely Garden DSP to 3 3/4″ x 5 1/4″. This will ensure your left and right hand pieces will line up well.
- Cut this piece at 2 1/2″.
- Adhere the 2 1/2″ piece to the left flap of the card and the remaining piece to the right hand flap.
- Cut another piece of Highland Heather 2 7/8″ x 4″ and adhere a 2 5/8″ x 3 7/8″ piece of Basic Black to the center of it.
- This piece will be adhere to the left flap only. Adhere it so it is centered on the front of the card base.
- Stamp the lilac flower on a piece of Basic White (approx 5 1/4″ x 4″). Use the masks to color the flowers with a blending brush and Highland Heather ink. (See video for tips.)
- Continue with a different blending brush and Old Olive ink to do the leaves.
- Die cut the flower and pop up on the black rectangle using dimensionals.
- Stamp “with love” using Memento ink on a Basic White scrap and die cut with the smallest Nested Essentials rectangle.
- Add three white Starburst Sequins.
- Stamp a lilac flower on a piece of 5 1/4″ x 4″ Basic White (after stamping off so it is light.)
- Adhere to the inside of your card.
