Thankful Garden Earth Day Card

Welcome to Festive Friday #FF0182 where we are celebrating Earth Day! Below you will see our Inspo List that was inspired by this holiday. We hope the Inspo list will challenge you to create a card or project based on the theme and/or the inspiration list. Your card doesn’t have to relate to Earth Day! There is a new Festive Friday Challenge every other week.

To play along with us just use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project and link up to the #festivefridaychallenge. You don’t need a blog to enter Festive Friday. Remember, your project does not have to celebrate the actual occasion- just make a card, 3D item, or scrapbook page using 3 items on the list. Here’s another look at my Earth Day (#FF0182) creation.

This card used earthy colors, a recycled item, an embossing folder, and a plant. The Thankful Garden bundle is my current go to. I love this pair of flowers. It was the perfect set for this card. My earthy colors were Coastal Cabana, Cajun Craze and Copper Clay for the flowers using the masks. I did NOT stamp the outline image-just used the masks without it. For the recycled item, I used an empty tube from my label printer. I just dipped the tube in my Mossy Meadow ink pad and randomly stamped it on the mat.

The Corrugated Embossing folder made that awesome texture behind the arches! Yes, those are two of the Everyday Arches and if you lay them a certain way, they make a heart! The heart can also be a pocket to put a flower in…you can see how to do this in the video.

My Dark Copper Stampin’ Blend was used to color a piece of Crumb Cake twine and then three Antique Pearls were added for a bit of bling. A bit of stamping was done with the tube on the inside of the card along with the sentiment.

card Measurements/instructions

Basic Beige Card Base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″
Basic Beige Mat: 5 1/4″ x 4″, stamp circles and then emboss and adhere to the card base
Basic Beige mat for blending the flowers on then die cut (see video for tips on lining them up)
Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze Arches cut with the 5th smallest

Join me this month for my Card Class in the Mail- All Occasion Stamp-a-Stack. We’ll make 8 cards (2 of 4 designs) so you’ll have a supply of cards on hand for all occasions. For August we will use the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set.

Cost is $35.00 (local) or $40 (by mail) or free with a minimum of a $50 order (before taxes and shipping and after any Stampin’ Rewards are applied).

Two options – in person or by mail.

In Person – class will be held on the last Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm.
By mail – Zoom will be held on the last Tuesday of the month at 3 pm. The class will be recorded and the replay available via YouTube if you can’t attend the class. You can substitute stamp sets or add the stamp set/punch to your order and use your own inks.

There is the option to add on the stampset or bundle. You can choose to add the stamp set ($19) or the stamp set and punch bundle ($42.25). Shipping will be on me!
