Welcome to the Stampin Dreams Blog Hop. Today our theme is Halloween.

This fun Halloween card was created with the Sweet & Spooky kit from Stampin’ Up! After making treat boxes (and filling them with treats) for a recent class, I decided to make a couple of cards for my grandchildren with the extras.

Here you can see the treat boxes as they were meant to be assembled. They are adorable!

The cards were super easy to make. I followed the score lines on the treat boxes to cut out a house shape and assembled the tag portion just as I would have for the treat box. One treat box had enough “house” for at least two cards.

Here is one more card made with another section of the house.

I think these will make fantastic cards for my grandchildren. I can’t wait to make a few more!

instructions for Sweet & Spooky Cards

Cut a Highland Heather card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
Add a 5 1/4″ x 4″ Pumpkin Pie mat to the front of each card base.
Cut your house shape from the treat box following the score lines.
Assemble the tag, add a bow, and adhere to the card front with dimensionals.
Add the ghost to the house with a glue dot.
Add a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White to the inside and add a halloween sentiment, if desired.
Add a few black dots from the Neutral Matte Dots embellishments.
