Sweet Friend Color Block Card

Welcome to Festive Friday #FF0213 where we are celebrating World Emoji Day! Below you will see our Inspo List that was inspired by this holiday. We hope the Inspo list will inspire you to create a card based on the theme and/or the inspiration list. Your card doesn’t have to celebrate the holiday. It is okay for it to look very different! There is a new Festive Friday Challenge every other week.

This card features the stamps and sentiments from the Just Peachy stamp set. The Lazy Daisy embossing folder was used to create the background. It is one of my favorite embossing folders. The combination of Poppy Parade and Lemon Lolly is so bright and happy. I love how the black makes them pop!

I love to send good vibes to my friends so this is the perfect sentiment in my opinion.

instructions for the sweet Friend CArd

Cut a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
Stack two pieces of card stock measuring 5 1/4″ x 4″ – one Lemon Lolly and one Poppy Parade and cut at 2 1/2″.
Take the stacked 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ pieces and turn them to the left and cut at 3 3/4″.
Next cut the 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ stacked pieces at 2 1/4″ on the long side.
Take two Lemon Lolly pieces and two Poppy Parade pieces and arrange on the card front as shown. (Save the other 4 pieces for another card.)
Use the second smallest Scallop Blooms die and cut a white circle. Adhere to the card.
On a small scrap of Basic White stamp the apple from the Just Peachy stamp set in Poppy Parade ink.
Stamp a Granny Apple Green link onto the stem. Fussy cut the leaf and apple.
Stamp the “To my sweet friend” sentiment on a piece of Basic White using Memento ink.
Fussy cut it apart.
Pop the apple up on the scalloped circle using dimensionals.
Add the sentiment as shown in the photo.
On a Basic White mat cut 5 1/4″ x 4″ stamp the inside sentiment in Poppy Parade.
Add hearts on the bottom using the heart stamp from the Playful Packaging bundle.
Adhere to the inside of the card.
Add three white dots from the Muted Palate dots embellishments.
