Sunshine & Rainbows Sketch Challenge Card

I created this Sunshine & Rainbows card to play along with Simply Sketchin’ Saturday! Don’t be confused…it’s still Friday in the USA but the Stampin’ Up! demo that runs this group is in Australia and it’s Saturday there already! I won’t tell you how long it took me to figure that out!

This is only our second sketch so I’m pleased to announce that I’ve participated in all of her Simply Sketchin’ Saturdays!

This card uses the fun, colorful, happy, bright Sunshine & Rainbows papers that are FREE during Sale-a-bration… WHILE SUPPLIES LAST! I’m not sure how long they’ll last…I’ve been getting a pack every chance I get!

I paired these papers with a stamp set that you may already have in your stash….Color & Contour! I love the flowers and sentiments in that set and they fit beautifully on my circle.

Here’s the sketch that I worked from this time:

Can you spot the change I made? I placed my rectangular strip of patterned paper in a vertical position and moved the circle slightly off center. I love the patterned papers so much that I didn’t want to cover them up with the biggest of Layering Circles. Oops! I just noticed the bow….I left that off but added Polished Dots bling instead!

instructions

Cut a Thick Basic White card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
Cut the Pool Party and Flirty Flamingo striped paper 4″ x 5 1/4″ with the stripes horizontal.
Cut a strip of the Pool Party Heart patterned paper 2″ x 5 1/4″. Be sure to position your hearts correctly before cutting.
Adhere these two papers to the card base as shown.
Cut the 3rd largest Scalloped Circle from Flirty Flamingo card stock and the 3rd Largest circle from Basic White.
On the Basic White circle, stamp the “fill in” flower in Flirty Flamingo. (My ink pad is fairly light so I didn’t need to stamp off. I did stamp the flower and sentiment on scrap paper first to be sure the sentiment would show up.)
Stamp the sentiment “So very Happy for you” in Flirty Flamingo overlapping the flower but slightly right and lower.
Add three of the Calypso Coral Polished Dots.

This Stamp Camp includes a card kit to make 12 cards…one designed by each of the demonstrators on the Creativity Abounds team. In this card kit you will get the card bases and any pieces of card stock needed to make the card. If a die other than the ones included in the Crane of Fortune Bundle is used, it will be cut for you. Envelopes are included as well.

You will use your Symbols of Fortune patterned paper, Crane of Fortune Bundle, Soft Succulent Satin Shimmer ribbon, Polished Dots, and inks and adhesives.

This kit will come with an emailed written tutorial for each card as well as “unlisted” videos to show you how to make the cards.

On April 29 -30 , 2022, you will be part of an exclusive Facebook Group where we will have 12 LIVE presentations showing another project made with the suite. As the group is international, some LIVES will be at less convenient times, but they will all be recorded in the FaceBook group and you will have access to them forever. You are invited to post your cards, comment and play along with challenges in this exclusive group as well.
