Welcome to our 1st Fun/Fancy Folds Blog Hop! We hope to inspire you to make a few, well, um….Fun/Fancy Folds! So let’s get to it.
My card is a Double Front Card made with the Storybook Moments Suite with a little help from the Mixed Labels bundle.

Don’t be fooled by the unassuming front. It actually has two fronts. Here’s the next one. The stamped and die cut elements are from the Storybook Garden Patch bundle of the suite.

The second card front is made with the Gold Mercury Vellum paper. That gorgeous frame and the stamped, colored and die cut bunny are from the Storybook Friends bundle of the suite. Don’t you love the bonus of seeing both sides of the patterned paper?
There’s still one more flap to open.

The inside has a sentiment and stone wall from the Storybook Friends stamp set. That stone wall is one of my favorite stamps in the suite! It’s so stinking cute.
The card can stand nicely also. That is always important to me!

instructions for the Storybook Momenst Double front card
- Cut a Lost Lagoon card base 6 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and score it at 1″ and 5 1/4″. (Or one inch from each side.)
- Fold and burnish.
- Stamp your inside sentiment in Lost Lagoon and The stone wall in Memento ink on a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White. Color the wall with Smoky Slate and Lost Lagoon blends.
- Adhere to the inside of the card.
- Cut two different patterned papers 3 1/2″ x 5 1/4″. Both sides of the paper will be seen. This card used Gold Mercury Vellum for one piece.
- Put a piece of Tear & Tape along the back of the right edge of the paper.
- Close the 1″ flap on the right hand side of the card base. Lay the patterned paper so it completely covers the Basic White piece on the inside and adhere it to the right folded piece of the card base.
- Repeat with the piece that will attach to the left hand side of the card base. This is the outermost piece.
- Use the Starburst (Saleabration free item) Embossing folder to emboss two pieces of Lost Lagoon card stock cut 7/8″ x 5 1/2″.
- Adhere each over the edge of the patterned paper where it attaches to the card base.
- Decorate the front of the card with the label and sentiment from the Mixed Labels bundle.
- Add the pots stamped in Cajun Craze on Cajun Craze card stock. Cut out with the die.
- Stamp the watering can on Lost Lagoon with Lost Lagoon ink. Die cut that as well.
- Stamp the trowel with Memento ink and color with Wild Wheat and Smoky Slate blends.
- Adhere all to the front of the card.
- On the second card front, adhere the frame using a sponge to spread a thin layer of glue on the back. This will not be seen through the vellum.
- Stamp the bunny on a scrap of Basic White in Memento ink.
- Color with Ivory, Light Crumb Cake, Light Pecan Pie and Light & Dark Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends. Use Granny Apple Green to color the lettuce.
- Die cut the bunny and adhere to the label.
- Color three Antique Pearls with the Wild Wheat blend and sprinkle on the front.

Lorraine, I made the Storybook designed card using the Trusty Tool DSP. On the inside flaps I added the same DSP and the Silver side of the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate to show the same as the front of the flaps. I am going to take pictures to send you a copy. I cut out some to the tool to add to the card. I also used Wink of Stella to the tools.
Fun card.
