Storybook Friends Easter Fun Fold Card

Welcome to the Easter and Spring themed Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop. We hope to inspire you to create beautiful cards and projects.

This is my Storybook Friends Easter Fun Fold card. As you can see it uses the Timeless Plaid papers along with dies and stamps from the Storybook Friends collection. The color combination of Petal Pink and Old Olive is perfect for Easter and Spring, I believe.

Here is the card with the bow untied and partially open. That stonewall stamp is one of my favorites in the set.

Now the card is fully opened to reveal the messge and where you would write your note.

I love the way the second side of the DSP is also shown in this layout.

Here’s what you need to get started:

Old Olive Card Base: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″

Timeless Plaid Patterned Paper 5 1/2″ x 6″ with pattern in landscape orientation

Basic White 5 1/4″ x 4″

20″ of Petal Pink ribbon

Focal point- oval, circle or square will work, die cuts, trimmer and bling!

Fold and Burnish your card base.
Orient the card base so the fold is on the right and the opening on the left (this is backwards compared to the usual orientation.)
Stamp the stonewall and little house randomly on the “front” of this card base in Old Olive ink.
Place the patterned paper with the side you want to show on the front on your trimmer. Score the on the 6″ side at 1 3/4″. Fold and burnish.
Tear a slight amount off of the front fold of the patterned paper.
Insert this piece into the “backwards” Old Olive card base and adhere it to the inside of the card base.
Fold the torn edge over the front of the card base.
Wrap your ribbon around the card base so that the ends are even on the right side.
Adhere the ribbon across the back of the card with Tear & Tape.
Tie a bow on the right.
Dice cut the Storybook Friends frame from Petal Pink card stock. Tape the left side of the two pieces together on the back side of the frame.
Adhere the left side of the frame to the torn paper.
Add a bunny stamped with Memento ink on a scrap of Basic White and colored with Old Olive and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.
Untie and open the card fully.
Stamp your stonewall in Old Olive or Smoky Slate ink along the bottom of your Basic White mat.
Stamp “Easter Greetings” at the top.
Adhere this to the inside of the card.
