Spotlight on Nature Dear Friend Card

Welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop. Today we are sharing projects with you based on a Color Challenge. We hope to inspire you to get out your supplies and make a new project.

Here is the card inspired by the colors. The lovely leaves are from the Spotlight on Nature stamp set. It was fun to stamp them in a bit of rainbow style and then fill in with some “splatter” stamps. The sentiment and the butterfly were also from the same stamp set.

Here is the color challenge that inspired my “dear friend” card. The color combination certainly is a bright one.

Cut your Gorgeous Grape card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
On a piece of Basic White cut 5 1/4″ x 4″ use Azure Afternoon ink to stamp the large leaf stamp from corner to corner. At the edges use partial stamps to fill in the space. Turn the stamp to help it fit together.
Repeat with Gorgeous Grape ink and then with Granny Apply Green ink.
Keeping colors together, fill in with the splatter stamps in the same color as the nearby leaves.
When satisfied, adhere to the front of the card base.
On a 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ strip of Basic White, stamp “dear friend” near the right end.
Adhere it to the front of the card lining up the right edge with the edge of the white mat on the card.
Stamp the butterfly on the 3rd smallest Stylish Shapes circle using Crushed Curry ink. Pop up on the front of the card with dimensionals so that it covers the left edge of the sentiment strip.
Add several white sequins from the Purple Adhesive Backed Sequins.
On a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White, stamp a partial leaf in Gorgeous Grape in the top right and bottom left corner.
Adhere to the inside of the card.

Two options – in person or by mail.

In Person – class will be held on the last Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm.
By mail – Zoom will be held on the last Tuesday of the month at 3 pm. The class will be recorded and the replay available via YouTube if you can’t attend the class. You can substitute stamp sets or add the stamp set/punch to your order and use your own inks.

There is the option to add on the stampset or bundle. You can choose to add the stamp set ($19) or the stamp set and punch bundle ($42.25). Shipping will be on me!
