Welcome to Festive Friday #FF0174 where we are celebrating the 12 Days of Christmas! Below you will see our Inspo List that was inspired by this holiday. We hope the Inspo list will challenge you to create card based on the theme and/or the combination of a few items. As you can see my card doesn’t have anything to do with the 12 Days of Christmas. There is a new Festive Friday Challenge every other week.
My Sophisticated Sled Happy Birthday card used the elements of Silver, Pink, Blue, and Shimmery Jewels. I love how this bundle can be used for so much more than Christmas cards. Don’t put this holiday stamp set away. The skates, sled and garland can be used for so much more than just your December cards.
want to join in on the fun?
Here is the Inspo List for this challenge. To play along with us just use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project and link up to the #festivefridaychallenge. You don’t need a blog to enter Festive Friday. Check out this link on how you can play along with us. If you want help entering, please email me (lorraine@chatncraftwithlorraine.com) and I’d be happy to help you!

Let’s get back to the card I created for this challenge. Silver foil, glimmer paper and faceted gems add so much sparkle to this card. I love it.

instructions for the Sophisticated sled Happy Birthday card
- Cut a Thick Basic White card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
- Use a Deckled Circle die to cut a 2 1/2″ circle from the 3 3/4″ x 5″ Night of Navy Mat.
- Cut the same size circle from a piece of Pretty in Pink In Color Glimmer Paper. Insert into the Night of Navy base popped up on dimensionals..
- Adhere a 1/4″ x 5″ piece of Silver Foil card stock to the left side of the Night of Navy Mat.
- Die cut the skates from a scrap of Basic White.
- Put an adhesive sheet on a scrap of Silver Foil card stock and die cut the blades and laces.
- Remove the release paper and adhere these in place.
- Dangle the skates from a small piece of Navy Linen thread adhered to the back of the skates with a dimensional. Use a glue dot to attach the top of the thread t the top of the circle.
- Tie a bow with the Silver & White ribbon and attach with a glue dot.
- Stamp Happy Birthday on a scrap of Basic White and die cut with a 1 3/8″ circle. Stamp a few snowflakes above and below the sentiment after stamping off 2x with Night of Navy ink.
- Add the sentiment on the front using dimensionals.
- Sprinkle with 5 Iridescent Faceted Gems.
- Adhere a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White to a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Night of Navy card stock. Adhere these layers to the inside.
- Stamp the inside sentiment in Night of Navy ink.
