Welcome to the July Stamping With Friends Blog Hop. Today we are sharing cards and techniques that use Window Sheets.

My card features the Flowers of Beauty Bundle and the Unbounded Beauty patterned paper pack. Can you tell I love the color orange? I used Peach Pie and Berry Burst for my card stock and ink.

It’s not difficult to make a window sheet card. The toughest part is remembering that you need to hide your adhesive as most adhesives show right through the sheet. On this card the window sheet is “sandwiched” between the card stock and the patterned paper.

instructions for Thankful for you window sheet card

Cut your Peach Pie card base 4 1/4″ x 11″ and score at 5 1/2″. Then open the card and trim the length to 6 3/4″. Burnish the fold.
Trim the piece of Peach Pie that you cut off to 3″ x 4 1/4″.
Adhere a Basic White piece cut 5 1/4″ x 4″ to the inside of the card base. (The small flap comes down from the top.)
Cut your window sheet to 5″ x 4″.
With the small flap folded down, use Seal to adhere the window sheet to the flap. (See video for how to apply adhesive best.)
Use the corner of your trimmer to hold the card base in place and put the 3″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Peach Pie card stock in place UNDER the window sheet. Use Seal on the card stock to adhere in place.
Add your piece of patterned paper to the top and bottom. Be careful to align with the edges of the window sheet.
Place your card on grid paper and mark where you’d like the sentiment to be. Open the card and stamp your sentiment.
Die cut the large stems from Berry Burst and add to the front with glue dots. Try to place the glue dots so they are above and below the window sheet so they do not show when the card is opened.
Add your bling!

Christmas Stamp a Stack

Join me each month starting in July for my 2024 Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. We’ll make 8 cards each month (2 each of 4 designs) so you’ll be getting ahead on your Christmas cards each month.

Cost is $40 (local) or $45 (by mail) each month or free with a minimum of a $45 order (before taxes and shipping).

Two options – in person or by mail.

In Person – class will be held on the last Monday (July, Aug) or Wednesday (Sept, Oct, Nov) of each month at 6:30 pm.
By mail – Zoom will be held on the last Tuesday of each month at 2:30 pm. The class will be recorded and available via YouTube, to watch (or rewatch) at your convenience. You will substitute your own stamp sets or add the stamp set/dies to your order.
