Welcome to the Ink Stamp Share Showcase Hop. Today we get to share whatever project we’d like. I have a cared with color blocking to share with you. I used masking paper cut into thin strips to mask off sections of my card mat.

It is a fun technique to do. After your mat is divided into sections, use your daubers to add a different color to each area. I chose daubers over blending brushes for a bit more concentrated color and to control them in a small space easier. For this card, I used Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight inks. After the ink was blended, the butterflies from Sketched Butterflies were stamped using Memento ink in each area.

A black mat really helps the colors to pop and then the Black and Very Vanilla ribbon was tied in a bow around the matted layer. A few Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins finished off the card with a bit of sparkle.

Here is the card recipe:

• Poppy Parade Card Base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″
• Basic Black Mat 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
• Basic White 5″ x 3 3/4″
• Masking Paper cut into 1/4″ strips
• Inside Mat 5 1/4″ x 4″

Christmas Stamp a Stack

Join me each month starting in July for my 2024 Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. We’ll make 8 cards each month (2 each of 4 designs) so you’ll be getting ahead on your Christmas cards each month.

Cost is $40 (local) or $45 (by mail) each month or free with a minimum of a $45 order (before taxes and shipping). 

Sign up for the full 5 months and you’ll receive a $25 bonus in product of your choice. 

Two options – in person or by mail.  

• In Person – class will be held on the last Monday (July, Aug) or Wednesday (Sept, Oct, Nov) of each month at 6:30 pm.
• By mail – Zoom will be held on the last Tuesday of each month at 2:30 pm. The class will be recorded and available via YouTube, to watch (or rewatch) at your convenience.  You will substitute your own stamp sets or add the stamp set/dies to your order.

Each month there will be an option to purchase the stamp set or bundle we will be using. Costs will be based on product used.
