The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.
Welcome to our Stampin Dreams Blog Hop. Today our theme is Florals. I have chosen to use the dies from the Simply Zinnia bundle- one of our Online Exclusives.

I choser to use only the dies to make the flowers on this card. I was a bit intimidated at first, but I’m here to tell you that they were not difficult to use. Each flower is made of five pieces and they go together easily. They do not need to be lined up exactly- they are forgiving. That is something I appreciate a lot!
The sentiment is also from the Simply Zinnia set. I love the mix of the printing and cursive fonts. They are so pretty!
instructions for simply zinnia thanks so much card
- Cut a Berry Burst card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
- Cut 2 Basic White mats at 5 1/4″ x 4″. (One for inside.)
- Use the die that would cut the outline of the single flower and cut a base for each of your flowers. Cut 2 in Sweet Sorbet and one in Blackberry Bliss.
- The second layer of the flower is the die that has a bigger middle section. Cut one in Flirty Flamingo, Berry Burst, and Calypso Coral.
- Cut the last petal die in Petal Pink, Melon Mambo, and Poppy Parade.
- Cut three centers of the flowers in Pumpkin Pie and 3 rings of stars in Lemon Lolly.
- To assemble the flowers layer them in this order starting at the bottom:
- Sweet Sorbet, Calypso Coral, Poppy Parade
- Sweet Sorbet, Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink
- Blackberry Bliss, Berry Burst, Melon Mambo
- Add the center pieces to each of the flowers.
- Cut one single leaf and one double leaf from Granny Apple Green card stock. Cut the veins in Lemon Lime Twist. Layer and glue together.
- Use Granny Apple Green ink to stamp the sentiment in the lower right hand corner.
- Adhere the leaves and two of the flowers directly on the Basic White mat.
- Pop the third flower up on dimensionals.
- Add three of the Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins
- Adhere the mat to the front of the card base.
- Stamp one Zinnia on the 2nd Basic White mat in the lower left corner using Berry Burst ink.
- Adhere to the inside of the card.
