I think you’ll agree that Stampin’ Up! has some of the prettiest patterned papers for card making. Their papers are so pretty on both sides. There are many times that I do not want to choose which one to use. There are many times that I hate to cover one side up. Well, now I don’t have to do that any more!
This layout allows you to Showcase Patterned Papers so that you can enjoy both sides of the paper. On the front you’ll see mostly one side and just a small strip of the second pattern. The inside gives you plenty of space to show off the second side. It’s a win- win layout!
Here’s the card recipe needed to complete this layout:
Patterned Paper (DSP): 4″ x 12″, score it at 5 1/2″ and 11″.
Card Stock
-for card base: 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″,
-for mat: 4 1/4″ x 2 3/4″
-for edge of flap: 1 1/4″ x 4″
Basic White
-for front 4″ x 2 1/2″
-for inside 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″
Watch this video to see how to assemble the card and to see a couple additional examples of this layout.
Here are photos of two more cards I made with the same layout and one showing the inside of the card.
