Welcome to Festive Friday #FF0173 where we are celebrating a Traditional Christmas! Below you will see our Inspo List that was inspired by this holiday. We hope the Inspo list will challenge you to create card based on the theme and/or the inspiration list. Your card does not have to stick to the holiday…just the Inspo List! There is a new Festive Friday Challenge every other week.

My Season of Elegance card is a pocket card that shows off both sides of this beautiful patterned paper. Inside the pocket is a card that will contain your message as well as beautiful embossed snowflakes. The Keeping Tabs die (or punch) makes the perfect handle to remove the card.

instructions for the Season of Elegance Pocket card

Cut a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ card base of Wild Wheat.
Cut your piece of Season Of Elegance paper to 8″ x 5 1/4″. Gently score at 4″ (with the 8″ side at the top of your trimmer.)
Fold and burnish. Then fold down the top right corner as much or as little as you’d like. Burnish the fold.
Use a VERY THIN line of glue on the left and partial right side of the pocket and close it.
Then adhere it to the card base.
Adhere the fold to the front with a few dimensionals.
Punch a star from Old Olive card stock with the Sweetest Star punch.
Use your embossing buddy on the star and ink the sentiment from the Sweetest Star stamp set with Versamark ink.
Sprinkle with gold embossing powder and heat set.
To help the sentiment stand out, use a dauber or blending brush to add a bit of Mossy Meadow ink over and around the embossing. Wipe the ink of the embossed letters.
Stick a dimensional next to the folded flap and loop about 16″ of Gold Twisted Thread back and forth over it.
Use dimensionals to pop the star over the gold thread.
Add three Faux Glass dots.
To make the card for the pocket, cut a piece of Basic White 4 5/8″ x 3 5/8″.
Use your embossing buddy on the top right corner and stamp the snowflakes in Gold Embossing powder. Melt.
Die cut a double tab from a scrap of Season Of Elegance paper and adhere to the top of the card as shown.
Stamp Merry Christmas in Old Olive ink on the bottom edge of the card.
Place in the pocket.

Christmas Stamp a Stack November

Join me for my November 2024 Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. We’ll make 8 cards each month (2 each of 4 designs) so you’ll be getting ahead on your Christmas cards each month. We will be using the Artful Amaryllis bundle.

Cost is $40 (local) or $45 (by mail) each month or free with a minimum of a $45 order (before taxes and shipping). Please email me to let me know you are interested in this class.

Two options – in person or by mail.

In Person – class will be held on the last Wednesday (Oct, Nov) of each month at 6:30 pm.
By mail – Zoom will be held on the last Tuesday of each month at 2:30 pm. The class will be recorded and available via YouTube, to watch (or rewatch) at your convenience. You will substitute your own stamp sets or add the stamp set/dies to your order.
