Scenic Adventure Window Card

Welcome to our June Blog Hop. This month our theme is masculine cards. I always seem to reach for a nature based set to make my masculine cards. This month was no exception. Here’s what I created for you:

This card features the Scenic Adventure stamp set and dies along with one of the Everyday Arches dies to cut the window. This is such a versatile set. I am enjoying making many cards with it for men and women alike.

My favorite part of the stamp set is the mountains, no- the choice of adventure or journey in the sentiment, no- the campfire. Oh well, I can’t pick a favorite.

instructions for Scenic Adventure Window card

Cut a Night of Navy card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
On a piece of 5 1/4″ x 4″ Basic White stamp the clouds two or 3 times in Cloud Cover ink along the top.
Die cut the window in the card with the 5th largest Everyday Arches die from a piece of Basic White cut 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″.
Place (but don’t adhere) this over the larger piece of Basic White so you can see where to stamp your water.
Stamp the water in Azure Afternoon ink.
Layer and adhere a small white die cut mountain, a large Night of Navy mountain, and Shaded Spruce grass on the piece with the clouds and water.
Adhere the window piece on with dimensionals.
Stamp the sentiment on a 1 3/4″ die cut circle in Night of Navy ink.
Stamp Adventure on a scrap of Timid Tiger paper and fussy cut it closely so it fits “within” the sentiment.
Adhere to the corner of the window frame.
Die cut and adhere the camp fire logs and flame.
On another 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White, stamp a tree or two in Shaded Spruce in the lower left corner.
Adhere to the inside of the card base.
