The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.
Today’s hop is a Share It Sunday theme where we show you whatever we have been working on lately. I’ve been playing with the Rustic Christmas Countdown Kit. It is an amazing kit that has so many possibilities. It is designed as a countdown to Christmas with 25 treat envelopes that hang from woven ribbon. I made numbers 1-10 as designed because I had too many other ideas for parts of the kit.

These little envelopes hold small “fun” size packages of candy, individually wrapped life savers, stickers or even temporary tattoos. I think anyone would love opening one each day leading up to Christmas.
The die cuts in this kit are beautiful- wreaths, holly, poinsettias, and evergreen branches. Immediately, I thought of a Merry Christmas banner hanging from my mantle and set out to create one. I used all of the same parts but added a circle punched from the “B side” of the One Horse Open Sleigh pattern pack. Onto that I added one letter of “Merry Christmas” cut with the Alphabet A la Mode dies from Real Red card stock.

Here is a close up shot of a few letters.

I also used several of the pieces to make cards. These pieces fit so nicely a card front. You could make 25 cards in a snap if you used all of these pieces. Here’s a photo of two of the cards I made.

Here is the card standing so you can see the gatefold part. The gold embossing for the sentiments adds the perfect touch.

To make this card, score an 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ card base along the long side at 2 1/8″ from each edge.
Card Stock Mat: 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
Patterned Paper: 5″ x 3 3/4″ (Portrait – card does not work landscape). Adhere to mat and adhere to the left side of the card front only.
Patterned Paper: 1 5/8″ x 5″ for inside right and 1 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ for inside left.
Inside mat: 5 1/4″ x 4″
