It’s time for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop team to bring you their projects inspired by a photo, a color challenge, or both. Here is our inspiration for this month.
Here is the card I created as well as our inspiration for this month.

Can you guess which inspired me more? Was it the color challenge or the photo inspiration?

It was the color challenge for me this month. I assembled my ink pads for the colors of ink shown above and immediately thought of the Ringed with Nature stamp set and the coordinating Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder. With both of those at the ready, I set off to stamp my own patterned paper. That is always such a fun thing to do.
As usual, I started stamping with the largest stamps and then progressed to the smallest. I will often say that I am not a fan of Wild Wheat, but it’s the perfect mushroom and tree ring color. I think the colors have a perfect late summer, almost autumn feel to them. I continued stamping until there was no more room on my piece of Basic White and I had used all of the colors.
I am pleased with my patterned paper and wish I had started with an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece so I could make more cards with it. Oh, well. Next time I will remember to do that.
To create my focal point I added a heart punched with the Country Bouquet Punch in Flirty Flamingo. The tree ring and sprig were die cut with the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing folder. I did add a bit of Smoky Slate to the tree ring with a blending brush. The sentiment is also from the Ringed with Nature stamp set. It has quite a variety to fit many needs. Here’s a close up of the focal point.

I mounted my beautiful piece of patterned paper on a Garden Green card base. After stamping a couple of Garden Green vines on the lower right hand corner, I added my Basic White mat to the inside. I think this will be the perfect card to cheer up a friend who isn’t feeling well.
