
Welcome to the Crafty Challenge blog hop. Each month we are presented with a challenge and tasked with creating a project. This month we have a sketch challenge. Here is the card I created.

I chose to use the Reindeer Days paper with the Reindeer Fun stamp set. The deer and the tree were fussy cut from the patterned paper. The Forever Plaid 3D embossing folder makes a perfect background for the focal image.
Here’s the sketch. You can see that I stayed pretty close to the sketch.

The only change I made was to omit the bow between the focal image and the sentiment. I invite you to use this sketch as a jumping off point for your card making. Remember, you can choose to follow it closely or let it take you in a different direction.
instructions for Reindeer fun Sketch challenge
- Cut a Garden Green card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
- Cut a piece of patterned paper 3 1/8″ x 4 3/8″ and mat on a piece of Basic White cut 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″.
- Adhere to the front of the card base.
- Cut a 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Granny Apple Green. Make a banner cut in one end.
- Adhere to the front of the card.
- Use the 6th from the center Deckled Circle die to cut a piece of Basic White.
- Run it through the Forever Plaid embossing folder.
- Adhere to the front of the card.
- Fussy cut the deer and tree from the Reindeer Days designer series paper pack.
- Pop up on the front with dimensionals.
- Stamp Merry Christmas on Real red on a 1/2″ strip and adhere to the front.
- On a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White stamp a tree in Garden Green in the lower right hand corner. Add a few stars around it.
- Adhere to the inside of the card.
- Color three Iridescent Pearls with a Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blend. Add to the front.
