The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.
Today our hop is a Sketch Challenge. Here’s the sketch we were given for inpsiration.

I love a sketch challenge because it gives you a starting point and then you can change it up to fit your style and needs. Here’s what I was inspired to create.

As you can see, I moved the repeated shapes over to the right a bit and used 3 of them rather than four. I have never been a fan of Pool Party but this Softly Stippled paper and the Sunny Days paper (both free for just a few more days- Sale-a-bration ends Feb 29!) coordinate with it. I think I’m falling in love.
Instructions
- Cut a Pool Party Card Base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
- Adhere a Basic White mat cut 5 1/4″ x 4″ to the front of the card base.
- Adhere a 5 1/4″ x 2 3/8″ piece of Pool Party patterned paper.
- Use the 2″ circle punch to punch a Pool Party circle.
- With the 1 3/4″ punch cut a white circle and two Pool Party patterned paper circles.
- Stamp a flower from the Just My Type stamp set on the patterned paper circles.
- On the white circle, stamp just the “circlular” sentiment from the Sending Love stamp set by “inking” it with the Basic Gray marker. Do not color the “I miss you” part.
- Use the “thank you” from the Just My Type stamp set with Pool Party ink in the center of the round sentiment.
- Adhere the circles to the right edge of the Pool Party patterned paper adhering the top and bottom ones first- even with the edge of the mat.
- Pop the center circles on dimensionals.
- Add a 5 1/4″ x 4″ Basic White mat to the inside.

thats a neat take on the sketch.
Love the soft, almost monochromatic look of your card Lorraine and I love your interpretation of the sketch x
