Welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop. We have a Sketch Challenge for you. Here’s the sketch that all of our projects were inspired by today.

And here is the card that was inspired by that sketch.

The Planted Paradise stamp set makes stamps for any and all occasions. Lately I’ve been wanting lots of “hello” or “thinking of you” cards for cards that can be just because I want to send you a card. This stamp set is perfect for that. DID YOU KNOW? Right now you can choose this stamp set as a FREE Sale-a-bration item with a $60 purchase (before tax and shipping.) I am confident you would use this stamp set A LOT.
Back to the sketch… I am a firm believer that a sketch is just a “jumping off” point. I made three squares with the Perennial Postage dies and a rectangle that could go behind them…just like in the sketch. But, I felt the need to rearrange the squares so this is what I came up with. I love the bit of dry embossing that is on the Cajun Craze card stock. It gives just the right amount of texture poking out.
I wanted Cajun Craze bling so I colored three of the dark Adhesive Backed Swirl Dots. I love these dots and I’m sad they are a Last Chance item. When they are gone, well, they are gone. Here’s a close up of those dots.

Here is the inside of my card. I added the same potted plant and left myself lots of room to write a note.

instructions for the planted paradise hello card
- Cut a Thick Basic White card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
- Cut a Basic White mat 5 1/4″ x 4″.
- Die cut three 2″ squares from Basic White with the Perennial Postage dies.
- On two squares stamp the pot using Cajun Craze ink. Then partially ink the triple leaf plant and stamp just above the pot.

Partially ink ONLY the leaf on the farthest right to add a 4th leaf to the pot. Stamp.
- Stamp “hello” from the Layering Leaves stamp set in Cajun Craze on the third square.
- Use the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder to emboss a 2″ x 4″ piece of Cajun Craze card stock.
- Adhere it to the center of the mat.
- Pop up the squares on the front.
- Color three dark dots with the Dark Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blend marker. Adhere to the front.
- Adhere the mat to the front of the card base.
- Stamp a pot and leaves in the inside.
