Welcome to the December Creativity Abounds Blog Hop. We are hopping with the theme of Birthdays this month. We are a group of 13 demonstrators from around the world who love to inspire others to make projects with a variety of Stampin’ Up! products and a variety of themes.
We also hold an amazing stamp camp 3 times a year. This stamp camp is free with the purchase of the focus suite. You will receive 13 Make & Takes with PDF and videos as well as 13 different bonus projects demonstrated live during the weekend. The best part is that it is all done virtually in an exclusive FaceBook group so you can watch it that weekend or whenever fits your schedule. The details are found at the end of this blog post.
I chose the Tune In bundle for this hop’s birthday card. I just love this bundle and have found it so much fun to play with. Here’s a fun, brightly colored card that is a snap to make.
The inside of the card declares the recipient “A classic” and wishes them a happy birthday in style.

instructions for the news flash Tune in card
- Cut a Poppy Parade card base 4 1/4″ x 11″ and score at 5 1/2″ . Assemble with the fold on the left side.
- Stamp 1 large lighting bolt and 4 small ones with Daffodil Delight ink on Daffodil Delight paper and die cut with the coordinating die.
- Use the die that cuts 4 “wonky” rectangles to die cut a scrap of Lemon Lime Twist, Misty Moonlight, and Poppy Parade card stock.
- Adhere the wonky triangles on a 1 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Boho Blue card stock.
- Wrap a piece of Basic Black twine around Boho Blue strip and tie a bow. Pop this up on the front of the card.
- Use Memento Ink to stamp News Flash on a 2 1/2″ x 5/8″ piece of Misty Moonlight card stock. Pop this up over the twine.
- Adhere the lightning bolts around the sentiment.
- On a piece of Basic White cut 5 1/4″ x 4″ stamp Your a Classic in Misty Moonlight and then stamp a Happy Birthday in Lemon Lime Twist to the right and left of it, as shown. Adhere to the inside.

The Floral Delight 12″ x 12″ paper is not available right now, please order the Delightful Wishes bundle, the Tiny Bee Trinkets, the Daffodil Delight ribbon, and the Floral and Gingham paper all separately. You can add $12.50 of any product you’d like to your order to bring your total to the cost of the suite ($89.50). I will let you know when the paper is available and you can order it then.
Join me this month for my Card Class in the Mail- All Occasion Stamp-a-Stack. We’ll make 8 cards (2 of 4 designs) so you’ll have a supply of cards on hand for all occasions. For August we will use the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set.
Cost is $35.00 (local) or $40 (by mail) or free with a minimum of a $50 order (before taxes and shipping and after any Stampin’ Rewards are applied).
Two options – in person or by mail.
- In Person – class will be held on the last Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm.
- By mail – Zoom will be held on the last Tuesday of the month at 3 pm. The class will be recorded and the replay available via YouTube if you can’t attend the class. You can substitute stamp sets or add the stamp set/punch to your order and use your own inks.
There is the option to add on the stampset or bundle. You can choose to add the stamp set ($19) or the stamp set and punch bundle ($42.25). Shipping will be on me!
