Thank you for visiting our Stamping With Friends Monochromatic Blog Hop. We hope to inspire you with our cards and projects. I chose the New Horizons suite for my birthday card today. I love the beautiful papers, dies and stamps. I think you could say that I am a sucker for mountains! I love the mountains and lakes are a close second. So naturally, this is the type of card I would make with this suite.

I love Evening Evergreen and so I chose to keep my colors in that family. The Faux Sea Glass shapes I used were actually white but they took on the perfect green hue on the card. I heat embossed the sentiment in white so it would show up nicely on the dark card stock.

instructions
- Cut a card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″ from Evening Evergreen card stock.
- Cut a mat 5 1/4″ x 4″ and adhere to the front of the card base.
- Use two different pieces of the New Horizons 6″ x 6″ patterned paper so that you can cut both mountain dies and a lake from Evening Evergreen colored papers.
- Layer the two pieces of mountains together and adhere in place. Adhere to the mat.
- Adhere the lake beneath the mountains.
- On a scrap of Evening Evergreen stamp the “Wishing you so much happiness” sentiment from the On the Horizon stamp set in Versa mark ink and sprinkle with white embossing powder. Heat with the heat tool.
- Die cut the sentiment with a Stitched Rectangle die. Adhere to the mat.
- Add three Faux Sea Glass shapes.
