Nature’s Symphony Sympathy Card

Welcome to Festive Friday #FF0207 where we are celebrating World Stationery Day! Below you will see our Inspo List that was inspired by this holiday. We hope the Inspo list will inspire you to create a card based on the theme and/or the inspiration list. Your card doesn’t have to celebrate the holiday. It is okay for it to look very different! There is a new Festive Friday Challenge every other week.

This Nature’s Symphony Sympathy card features the Sepia technique. Sepia refers to the reddish-brown color associated with photographs of yesteryear. Using Pecan Pie and blending brushes it is easy to achieve this look. The three different panels are each quite different.

The panel on the left is two tone card stock that was folded, embossed and sanded- three distressing techniques. A bit of Pecan Pie ink was blended over the sanded areas, too. The center panel was torn down the right edge, stamped, and ink blended. The far right panel is a piece of patterned paper from the Nature’s Walk pack. The die cuts are from the Nature’s Symphony bundle.

• Card Base: Pecan Pie 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
• Patterned Paper 2″ x 5 1/4″
• Basic White 3″ x 5 1/4″ and 5 1/4″ x 4″ for the inside
• Two Tone Early Espresso Card stock: 2 3/4″ x 5 1/4″
• Stylish Shapes 2 1/2″ circle
