Welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop. Today we are featuring Marker Techniques. Did you know that starting today, Stampin’ Up! is having an amazing JOIN offer. When you join you can choose two 10 pack color families of markers for free and also receive a free stamp set. This is in addition to the $125 of ANY product you would like (catalog, online exclusives, scrapbooking) for $99. AND, there’s no shipping fees on a starter kit. Stampin’ Up! will also throw in a past Paper Pumpkin kit! All future orders will be at least 20% off. Think of it like a membership to a big box store! I would love to have you join my team! Anyway, back to my cards….

This Natural Botanicals Sympathy card was made with a stamp set just released today- Natural Botanicals and I used a technique of coloring on a block with Stamp N Write markers. For this card I used Pretty Peacock, Night of Navy, and Boho Blue markers. After adding the color to the block, it’s spritzed with water and then pressed to the paper.
This is one of my favorite marker techniques and a go to design for sympathy cards. That sprig is from the Natural Botanicals stamp set and the sentiment is from the Something Fancy stamp set. I also splattered ink with the brush end of my marker but it may be tough to see.
It’s hard to stop at one with this technique. Here’s another card.

I forgot to mention that the Natural Botanicals stamp set is….REVERSIBLE! You can ink up the back and use it to make a background for the stamps. I’ve done that with this next card.

The solid leaf image is from stamping with the “back” of the stamp. It’s so cool!
My last example uses the back of the stamp and then the front of the stamp after it was colored with markers and spritzed with water! This technique is so much fun!

Do you have a favorite from all of these? I’d love it if you would comment with yours below.
Here’s a replay of a FaceBook LIVE you can watch to see how these cards were made. I think you will want to try this technique SOON!
