Most Magical Time of Year Card

Welcome to the Ink Stamp Share Showcase Hop for October. Today we are sharing a project of our choice with you.

The Ornamental Christmas stamp set has the best trees in it for your Christmas cards this year. These “bottle brush” style trees have a modern flair and look great embossed in white! The color combination of silver glimmer, Azure Afternoon and Granny Apple Green are from a recent color challenge as part of our Modern Christmas stamp camp. I love how this card turned out.

Here is a close up look at those trees.

This card works up quickly enough that you could make it in multiples for the holidays. I wonder what other colors would look great with this layout! I must try more color combinations!

instructions for the Most magical time of the year card

1. Cut your Thick Basic White card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
2. Cut a piece of Basic White at 3 3/4″ x 5″. Use a blending brush to add a faint amount of ink blending with Azure Afternoon ink and a blending brush.
3. Die cut one tree from Silver Glimmer paper.
4. Stamp two trees using Versamark on Afternoon Azure card stock. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and melt.
5. Stamp one tree with Versamark on a piece of Granny Apple Green card stock and sprinkle with white embossing powder. Melt.
6. Die cut the three embossed trees.
7. Adhere the Basic White piece to a 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8′ piece of Azure Afternoon card. Adhere to the front of the card.
8. Add the Silver Glimmer tree and the Azure tree on the right side of the card front.
9. Adhere the second Azure Afternoon tree to the left of the Silver tree and the Granny Apple Green tree in between the Silver tree and the Azure tree on the right.
10. Stamp the sentiment in Versamark on a 1/2″ strip of Basic Black card stock. Add white embossing powder. Melt.
11. Pop this up on the front using dimensionals.
12. Add three white dots from the Neurtal Matte Dots.
