Welcome to Festive Friday #FF0180 where we are celebrating Piano Day! Below you will see our Inspo List that was inspired by this holiday. We hope the Inspo list will challenge you to create card based on the theme and/or the inspiration list. As you can see my card doesn’t have anything to do with Piano Day! There is a new Festive Friday Challenge every other week.

To play along with us just use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project and link up to the #festivefridaychallenge. You don’t need a blog to enter Festive Friday. Check out this link on how you can play along with this challenge. If you want help entering, please email me (lorraine@chatncraftwithlorraine.com) and I’d be happy to help you!
Remember, your project does not have to celebrate the actual occasion- just make a card, 3D item, or scrapbook page using 3 items on the list.
Back to Festive Friday Challenge #0180. I used the Mixed Florals and Mixed Labels stamp sets to make this fun card. I chose the following items from the Inspo List: black, white, and stripes.
Here’s a closer look at the stripes and flowers. The stripes are simply pieces of Basic Black card stock.

instructions for the Mixed Florals Black & white Stripes card
- Cut a Thick Basic White card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
- On a Basic White mat (5 1/4″ x 4″) lay 1/2″ wide strips of Basic Black across the bottom right corner on the diagonal. Be sure the strips are long enough to hang over both sides.
- Adhere 4 strips to make the stripes. When dry, trim the excess black off with snips.
- On another piece of Basic White, stamp the tulips in Tuxedo Black Memento ink,
- Color the tulips with the Light and Dark Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends.
- Color the leaves and stems with Light and Dark Granny Apple Green blends.
- Color the little flowers with the dark Petunia Pop Stampin’ Blend.
- Adhere to the mat with dimensionals.
- Adhere the mat to the front of the card base.
- Color three Antique Pearls with the Dark Basic Black Marker and add to the card front.
- On the inside stamp a partial flower bouquet in Memento ink.
