Welcome to the September Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. We have a sketch challenge for you this month. Here’s the sketch we used for inspiration.

Here’s the card I created using the Reindeer Fun stamp set.

The Forever Plaid 3D embossing folder fits well with this sketch and I couldn’t help but use the Reindeer Days patterned paper. The presents are perfect. There’s just a bit of stamping with the trees and the sentiment. The best part of a sketch challenge is the card usually works up pretty quickly.

instructions for the merry christmas sketch challenge

Cut a Garden Green card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″. Fold and burnish.
Cut a 2″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Real Red card stock and run it through the Forever Plaid 3D embossing folder. Adhere to the left side of the card base.
Stamp two trees in Garden Green on the lower right hand corner of the card front.
Cut a Granny Apple Green square with the second largest Stylish Shapes square die.
Cut a piece of patterned paper with the second largest Stylish Shapes die.
Adhere the two squares as shown.
Use dimensionals to pop them up on the front of the card.
Using two pieces of Real Red & White twine, tie a bow and adhere to the present with a glue dot.
Use white embossing powder to heat emboss the sentiment on a 1/2″ x 3″ strip of Garden Green. (Don’t forget to use your embossing buddy!)
Adhere to the front of the card as shown.
Add three Real Red & White embellishments.
On a piece of 5 1/4″ x 4″ Basic White, stamp two trees in the lower left corner with Garden Green ink.

Christmas Stamp a Stack November

Join me for my November 2024 Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. We’ll make 8 cards each month (2 each of 4 designs) so you’ll be getting ahead on your Christmas cards each month. We will be using the Artful Amaryllis bundle.

Cost is $40 (local) or $45 (by mail) each month or free with a minimum of a $45 order (before taxes and shipping). Please email me to let me know you are interested in this class.

Two options – in person or by mail.

In Person – class will be held on the last Wednesday (Oct, Nov) of each month at 6:30 pm.
By mail – Zoom will be held on the last Tuesday of each month at 2:30 pm. The class will be recorded and available via YouTube, to watch (or rewatch) at your convenience. You will substitute your own stamp sets or add the stamp set/dies to your order.
