Today I’m taking part in the TGIF Challenges (#TGIFC485) because my Facebook scrolling was stopped in its tracks when I saw this week’s sketch. It’s not too often that I have an idea pop into my head immediately. But today, today was my lucky day and I created the card you see above.

Here’s the sketch that caught my eye!

True to my form, I’ve changed a few elements around. I moved the focal image to the left and put the sentiment next to it, rather than overlapping it. Even with these changes, you can see that my card was inspired by the sketch.

Instructions for the Merry christmas Reindeer card

1. Cut a Thick Basic White card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
2. On a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Real Red card stock, adhere three 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ pieces of Reindeer Days patterned paper.
3. Center the Real Red layered piece on the card base.
4. Die cut and layer the three reindeer pieces shown below. Adhere the middle piece to the Early Espresso antler die cut and then adhere the Pecan Pie reindeer head on top of the other two layers.

5. Pop the reindeer up with dimensionals on a 2 1/8″ Stylish Shapes circle cut out of Garden Green. Adhere the circle to the left side of the card.
6. Heat emboss Merry Christmas on a piece of Real Red using the Gold WOW! embossing powders.
7. Die cut with the long rounded sentiment die from the Greetings of the Seasons dies. Trim off the end with the “hole” and adhere under the edge of the reindeer.
8. Add three Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels.

The Reindeer Days Suite is part of the new September to December 2024 Mini Catalog. These products will be available on September 4.
