Make a Memory Birthday Cards

Check out this birthday card made from the Make a Memory kit from Stampin’ Up! This kit is generally thought to be a scrapbooking kit but why not use it to make cards? I did. It is a superb value and contains enough 12″ x 12″ papers, mats, die cuts and stickers to make a whole lot of cards! And, of course, it is all color coordinated!

To make this card you will need:

• Thick Basic White card base cut 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″, 3/4″ x 4″ piece for inside
• Mat from the Make a Memory Kit cut down to 5 1/4″ x 4″
• Basic White mat for leaves cut 4″ x 2″
• An arrow die cut from the kit
• Leaf stickers
• White heat embossed “wishing” on Secret Sea card stock and then die cut using Delightful Wishes bundle
• Secret Sea ink to stamp sentiment also from Delightful Wishes
• Embellishments from Pearls of Beauty pack

Here is another card I made with the same Make a Memory kit. This kit will be perfect for the friend that needs a bit of a pick me up!

I love the combination of the Petal Pink with the Pretty Peacock. For this card, I made the card base out of the scrapbook paper itself. I just cut it to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. If will yield another card base as well as a couple of sizable mats.

To make this card:

• Card Base from Scrapbook Paper 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″, 3/8″ x 5 1/2″ piece for inside
• “Notebook” paper is a mat cut to 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
• Pretty Peacock partial mat cut to 3 3/8″ x 4 7/8″
• The Flowers are from the die cuts in the kit
• Leaves and sentiment from the Sunshine Vibes stamp set.
• Embellishments from Delightful Decorative Dots
