Welcome to the Ink Stamp Share Showcase Hop. Our theme for this hop is All That Flutters. We hope to provide you with inspiration to get your card making supplies out and make a card.
I chose dragonflies as the “flutter-er” on my card. I love dragonflies. The Sending Smiles stamp set and coordinating dies provided the sentiments and the flowers.
I love the look of stamping on the patterned paper. Do you recognize this one? It’s from the Flight & Airy pack of papers. (Free- until february 29, 2024!) I kept the stamping in a seemingly random arrangement so I would not have to worry about getting all of the spacing exact. Phew! That made it so much easier.
instructions
- Cut a Pretty Peacock card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
- Cut a piece of patterned paper from the Flight & Airy pack to 5 1/2″ x 3″.
- Stamp the two sentiments on it with Pretty Peacock ink. Alternate sentiments starting from the top.
- Adhere this piece to a 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″ piece of basic white as shown in the photo.
- Stamp and die cut the stems in Lost Lagoon and the flowers in Lemon Lolly. The flower centers are Calypso Coral.
- Sprinkle liberally with lots of dragonflies!
- Add a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White to the inside along with a couple more dragonflies.
