It’s time for our Creativity Abounds Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world- all with different styles- who hope to inspire you to create beautiful cards and send them to friends and family.
Here is a peak at our design team. Join us for one of our Stamp Camps and you’ll get to meet everyone!

This month our theme is Fun Folds. We have each created a fun fold card for our blogs and a different fold for our tutorial bundle which is free with a purchase from my online store or if you are a member of my team. You can see a sneak peek of the tutorial bundle at the end of this post.

This Lighting the Way Inside Pop Up card is so much fun to make and like most other fun folds, it’s rather easy once you know how. The trick to remember is that it is basically two card bases with one slightly smaller than the first. After you score the pop up corners, you basically tuck one card inside the other.
The paper on the card above is from the Stargazing paper pack. I used a stamp and blending brushes to make the golden light right on the piece of patterned paper. I’ll show you how I do that in the video below. Here’s a look at the inside.

This layout gives you plenty of room to show off more patterned papers. These are also from the Stargazing package. You can add a lot of die cuts or just a few to the pop up part of the card. The fireflies from this bundle seemed perfect to dress up the inside.
Here are the pieces you need to cut:
Azure Afternoon Card Base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
Basic White card Base: 8 1/4″ x 5 1/4″, score at 4 1/8″
Basic White mat for front: 5 1/4″ x 4″
Patterned Paper for front: 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
Patterned paper for inside: 5″ x 3 7/8″ (2)
Basic White for inside sentiment: 2 1/4″ x 3 3/4″
Azure Afternoon Mat: 2 3/8″ x 3 7/8″
Basic White for Back (to write on) 5 1/4″ x 4″
The easiest way for me to teach you how to make this card is to show you. You can watch a replay of a FaceBook Live video below. I will also show you a version of the card using the Cheerful Daisies suite.
I hope you will give this card a try! It is so versatile- give it a go with whatever set you have on your table.

Beautiful fun card Lorraine!
thank you, Maheswari!
Live this Lorraine. I’m going to have to give it a try
Thanks, Diane. I hope you do!
That’a another great fold, and another one that I hadn’t seen before. I like how it gives you so much space to do different things – stamp, message or show off DSP while the pop up gives a real wow factor. 🙂
Thanks, Jan. I hope you try it.
