Can you help? It’s a win- win!
As most of you know, my youngest grandchild, Crosby, has been in the hospital all but 10 days since his birth 16 months ago. He has been at Boston Children’s Hospital the past 13 months where he has been diagnosed with Pulmonary Vein Stenosis or PVS. This is a narrowing of the pulmonary veins that return oxygenated blood to his heart. The cause of this disease is unknown and treatment is developing. Crosby is on a medication that tries to slow the build up in his vein. He also has balloon catheterization procedures done every 4 to 6 weeks to open those veins back up. He has undergone 10 catheterization procedures to date.
In an effort to do something– feeling so helpless is horrible- I am hosting a fundraiser starting today through the end of June. I’m combining my love of stamping and card making with my desire to help. If you purchase a Stampin’ Up! kit from my online store during the month of June, I will donate 25% of the kit’s cost to PVS research at Boston Children’s Hospital. You get to enjoy a fabulous kit from Stampin’ Up! and I get to make a donation for PVS research. I call that a WIN- WIN proposal!
Stampin’ Up! has a variety of kits. There are card making kits that focus on birthday, Christmas, thank you or get well cards. There are also craft kits- a wreath building kit, a memory book kit, treat box kit, etc. Several of the kits do not require stamping.
You can take a peek at the kits here. (Click on the picture to look at the kit in more detail. If it is a stamping kit, you’ll see a picture of the stamps. It should also tell you what color ink is included.)
ALL KITS ARE ALL INCLUSIVE. Other than a pair of scissors the kits have everything you need to complete the projects. (You may prefer double sided craft tape to the included glue dots but it’s not necessary. ) They contain ink, envelopes, a clear block to place your stamps on, “E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G!”
Be CAREFUL not to order a kit in FRENCH! It is easy to do….ask me how I know!
Here are a few examples of the kits available.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW:
- Kits are all inclusive.
- Each kit contains directions in the package. You can also find directions/demonstrations on YouTube by typing the name of the kit in the YouTube search bar.
- You can complete a kit in an hour or two.
- These kits make great gifts for teens, grandparents, or neighbors.
- They are a lot of fun to make with a friend, grandchild or by yourself.
- I will be available for help- whenever you need it.
- If you don’t send many cards, you can make them and donate them to a nursing home or food bank, etc.
- They are fun to complete even if you are an avid crafter used to designing your own cards.
To order, please follow this link. Be sure to check the upper left hand side of the tool bar. It should say “Shopping with Lorraine Tierney”. I will be notified of your order by Stampin’ Up! and at the end of the month I will make a donation to Boston Children’s Hospital PVS research that will include 25% of your purchase.
I appreciate the support you have shown me in this journey with phone calls, cards, emails, texts, and last but far from least- prayers. If this fundraiser is not right for you, please know that I understand completely. Please continue to pray for Crosby and his family as well as his medical team.
