The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.
Today we are featuring alternative cards and projects for the January Kisses & Hugs Paper Pumpkin Kit. This kit featured heart shaped cards with accordion style folds. The envelopes are especially beautiful with XOXO foil linings! I am always so glad that I receive Paper Pumpkin each month. I love having cards that I can put together easily and without too much pre-planning. If I want to, I can always change things up and add a few supplies too.

I chose to make a traditional card with the pieces of the kit. I love the Flirty Flamingo and Gray Granite combo. Blending brushes have been out on my table along with stencils (or masks) lately so I put them both to use on this card.
Instructions
- Cut a Flirty Flamingo card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
- Cut a Basic White mat 5 1/4″ x 4″ and lay the small floral mask from the Butterflies & Flowers Decorative masks over it. Blend Gray Granite ink over the mask with darker blending at an angle from left to right. Fill in the rest with lighter blending.
- Stamp “sending you love” in the lower right hand corner.
- Layer the same mask over one of the Blushing Bride hearts and stencil lightly with the Gray Granite ink.
- Adhere the heart to the vellum. Pop them up on the card front.
- Adhere one of the arrows across the heart.
- Add a bit of gold twine- I’m not sure which past kit it’s from.
- Add three of the adhesive sequins included with the kit.
- Stencil on the left hand side of a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White using Gray Granite and the same stencil used on the front.
- Add a stamp of the small heart and the “love you.”
