Kintsugi Vases Card

Welcome to the Share it Sunday Blog Hop. This is one of my favorite hops of the month because we get to share with you a project or card of our choice. My card features the Kintsugi Inspirations Suite. From the moment I laid eyes on this catalog, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this suite. Well, that day finally arrived and here is the first card I created with these gorgeous supplies.

Isn’t that Misty Moonlight patterned paper in the background just gorgeous? All of these papers are gorgeous but anything with Misty Moonlight is a favorite of mine. Here’s a quick look at all of the papers.

The vase, bowl and the flower are all die cut from one piece of the patterned paper (top left) and look beautiful showcased on a gold foil circle cut with the largest Stylish Shapes die. The Petal Pink bowl has a little slit in the top so the flower can be inserted down to the leaves.

Here’s a close up look at the sentiment. It is so encouraging and sure to be appreciated by whomever receives this card.

I am sure that this suite collection will be one I reach for again and again. I know you will love it as well.

instructions for the kintsugi vases card

1. Cut a Misty Moonlight card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
2. Adhere a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of patterned paper to the front of the card base.
3. Use the dies to cut the vase, bowl and flower from the sheet of patterned paper.
4. Die cut the largest Stylish Shapes circle from gold foil and adhere to the card front.
5. Use Tear and Tape to adhere the vase to the edge of the circle.
   • Tip: avoid using liquid glue to adhere to the foil. It slips and can smear the shine of the foil.
6. Cut a small slit in the top of the bowl with your trimmer. Insert the stem of the flower into the bowl.
7. Pop the flower and bowl up on the front with dimensionals.
8. Stamp the sentiment on a piece of Misty Moonlight cards stock using Night of Navy ink- to provide good contrast. Then die cut with the small, narrow banner from the Stylish Shapes dies.
9. Add the sentiment to the front by popping up the right side and glueing the left side.
10. Add three gold Low Profile dots.
11. Stamp a bowl in Misty Moonlight on the bottom left corner of a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White.
12. Add the sentiment, “I am here for you” in the inside.
