Just My Type Hello Card

Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. Today we will be sharing our creations all inspired by the following sketch.

I love a sketch that is open to interpretation but sometimes, I just stick closely to the sketch. Today’s card follows the sketch to a “T”. I chose the Just My Type stamp set and patterned paper from the Delightfully Eclectic paper pack.

I followed the lead of the patterned paper and stuck to Misty Moonlight and Bubble Bath as my colors. My typewriter had to be black as it reminds me of the old black, Royal manual typewriter I would type on as a kid. I think this will be a fun card to send to say “Hello” to a friend- just because.

On the inside, I used the happy, cheerful sunshine and rainbow sentiment and a small rainbow that I colored with Misty Moonlight and Bubble Bath blends.

Cut a Bubble Bath card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
Cut 2 Basic White mats 5 1/4″ x 4″.
On one Basic White Mat, stamp Hello along the bottom with Misty Moonlight ink.
Adhere 2 circles cut from the Delightfully Eclectic paper pack with the 5th smallest Deckled Circle die to the mat. (Count from the center out.)
With the same Deckled Circle die cut a Bubble Bath circle.
Stamp the Bubble Bath circle with the typewriter using Memento Ink.
On a scrap of Basic White stamp the sheet of paper and the heart and adhere to the typewriter.
Using dimensionals, add this circle to the front of the card. Leave room for the ribbon.
Tie a bow around the mat with the Bubble Bath ribbon from the 3/8″ Sheer Ribbon Combo pack.
Adhere to the front of your card base.
Add 5 Rainbow Adhesive Backed dots in Bubble Bath.
On the second Basic White mat use Misty Moonlight ink to stamp the “sunshine and rainbows” sentiment. Also stamp a small rainbow in the bottom left corner.
Color the rainbow with the Misty Moonlight and Bubble Bath Blends.
Adhere to the inside of the card.
