Just a Note with Scenic Adventures

Welcome to the Ink Stamp Share Showcase Hop for August. We are a group of demonstrators who love to share inspiration and today’s hop is one where we share whatever we would like.

I recently made this card to send to a gentleman who is not feeling well due to Covid. When I think of a masculine card, I often think of trees. Here’s what I created.

Using scraps of various green card stock made it easy to make this card. I die cut each set of trees and then layered them on a Basic White mat. Before the card front was embossed with the Birchwood Embossing folder, I stamped the “Just a Note” sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink.

instructions for the Just a note card

1. Die cut the trees using the double tree die from the Scenic Adventures stamp set using Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Garden Green and Pretty Peacock card stock.
2. Adhere these trees to a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White.
3. Stamp the sentiment in Mossy Meadow in the top left corner.
4. Run this piece through your Cut & Emboss machine in the Birchwood 3D embossing folder.
5. Mat this piece on a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Mossy Meadow card stock.
6. Adhere to the front of a Basic White thick card base cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″.
7. Stamp the single tree twice on the inside of the card base using Mossy Meadow. Stamp the lighter tree by stamping a second time without re-inking the stamp.

There are challenges and more! Everything happens in a private Facebook Group that will stay on Facebook for as long as Facebook allows it. We will also upload the videos to YouTube so that those who participate in the stamp camp can view them indefinitely.
