Impressions Abloom Hello

Welcome to the June Crafty Challenge Blog Hop. We took our inspiration for this hop from a picture and color combination. I was inspired to make a card using these colors.

To be honest, I felt really challenged by these colors but once I started playing, the card came together.

I love Blueberry Bushel and Pumpkin Pie so I started off with those two colors.

I used the Pressed Flowers embossing folder to add texture and interest to the Blueberry Bushel mat and snuck in a thin bit or Pumpkin Pie around it. Double layering the focal point gave me a spot to add the Smoky Slate and lots of Pumpkin Pie flowers gave me a reason to add a few Mossy Meadow leaves. I think it all worked out beautifully in the end. The hardest part was choosing which flowers to use from the Impressions Abloom stamp set.

The sentiment on the outside and the inside were both from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set.

I couldn’t help it! I needed to add one more flower to the inside. You can never have too much Pumpkin Pie in a card.

instructions for Impressions abloom Hello Card

Cut a Thick Basic White card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
Run a 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ piece of Blueberry Bushel card stock through the Pressed Flowers embossing folder and adhere it to a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock.
Adhere both to the front of the card.
Die cut a piece of Smoky Slate card stock with the 5th from the center Everyday Arch die.
Die cut a Basic White piece with the 4th from the center Everyday Arch die.
On the Basic White arch stamp two large flowers with “stamped off” Pumpkin Pie for the fill in stamp and full strength Pumpkin Pie for the details.
Add a few leaves with Mossy Meadow ink.
Stamp Hello in Smoky Slate.
Stamp the center of the flowers in Smoky Slate.
On a scrap of Basic White stamp one more flower the same way. Stamp three leaves separately. Die cut all.
Layer the white arch on the Smoky Slate arch and adhere to the front of the card.
Pop up the flower and leaves on the lower left corner of the arch.
Add three pearls on the front.
On a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White, add your inside sentiment in Smoky Slate ink.
Add a only the detail stamp of the flower with a Smoky Slate center.
Adhere to the inside.
