Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop! You will love seeing all the cards and projects inspired by the Hope Box in this blog hop. The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our Goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.
Hope Box Cards as included in the kit

These 3 cards are made by MOSTLY following the instructions. The sentiment on the bottom card was shortened to “Hope” because I just couldn’t cover any more of that beautiful die cut. I could have happily made all nine cards just like these but I wanted to inspire you with a few alternatives.
Alternative Hope Box Cards

For my first alternative I die cut a circle from the top of the Pool Party base and mat. I also added a few “speckled” stamps with Pool Party ink to the left and right of the circle. While keeping the card closed, I stamped with the butterfly (included with the Hope Box) and colored it in with my water color pencils. Then I stamped the sentiment directly on the card mat. You may notice that “Just a note of hope” was my favorite sentiment in the kit. I love that you see the butterfly when the card is closed as well as when it’s open.
As soon as I started popping out the banners, I pictured this card in my mind! There’s a sketch challenge on my Chat’n’Craft Creations Facebook page that uses this layout. I’ll be adding this photo there shortly.

This was easy to make! I simply cut each of the banners roughly in half. I didn’t want the pieces to be exactly the same length. Then I adhered them across the card base. I added a 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ strip of Blackberry Bliss card stock across the top of the banners. This nicely hid the uneven-ness of how I adhered the banners. I used the white circle die cut from the kit and layered it on a scalloped circle that was cut with a Layering Circle die from a left over piece of another alternative.
Maybe you’ve noticed? I’m trying to use each of the card bases from the Hope Box as the “base” to my alternative cards. This next one lent itself to two cards!

This first one uses the card base and I added a sentiment stamped on vellum. The little glue dots in the Hope Box didn’t show through the vellum so I used one at each end. Then I added two large butterflies and one smaller butterfly from the die cuts included. The sequins included in the Hope Box are so shimmery that I used those again as well.

This die cut is so beautiful. The colors and patterns are perfect so I popped it up on a Gorgeous Grape card base with mini-dimensionals and added the Hope sentiment. I added few sequins and I called it a card!
I think you will agree that this Hope Box is a fabulous kit. Here’s the best news! You can order this kit without being a Paper Pumpkin demonstrator until August 31, 2021. (There was an ordering glitch during the subscription period so they’ve made it available on the Stampin’ Up! website.) Click HERE if you’d like to purchase the Hope Box or a refill.
Remember this is a blog hop and there are a lot more Hope Box inspired projects to be seen! Hope on to more blogs to see what the others have created.
