Welcome to the Giving Thanks Blog Hop! We hope to inspire you to create a card or two that you can share this fall with the theme of gratitude or thankfulness.

I’ve created this Double Flap Fun fold card using the Wild Wheat piece of patterned paper from the Regal Winter Designer Series Paper pack and Early Espresso card stock. Both the sentiment and the images are from the Iconic Imagery stamp set.

When the small flap is opened you are treated to a good look at the beautiful patterned paper.

Then when the second flap is opened the inside sentiment is revealed. For this, I used a sentiment from the Latte Love stamp set.

I love a card that will stand nicely on your table or mantle and this one checks off that box, too.

Instructions for Grateful Double Flap Fold card

Cut your Early Espresso card base 5 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
Cut the second flap of Early Espresso 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ and score one side at 1″.
Cut a third piece of Early Espresso 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″.
Adhere a 3″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Regal Winter DSP to the smaller flap of the large cage base.
Adhere the 1″ flap of the Early Espresso square to the right hand edge of the card base.
Add the 3″ x 4″ piece of Regal Winter DSP to the front of this smaller flap.
Cut a 1″ x 3″ piece of Early Espresso card and adhere it to the smaller flap about 1″ from the bottom.
On a 3 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla, stamp “Grateful” in Early Espresso. Use Wild Wheat (full strength and stamped off) to create the leaves. Stamp the other foliage in Pecan Pie ink. Add a few Crushed Curry hearts randomly.
Adhere this piece to the last piece of Early Espresso card stock.
Use dimensionals to attach to the small flap.
Add three Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems to the front of the card.
On a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Very Vanilla stamp “Thanks so much” in Early Espresso. Adhere to the inside of the card base.

Christmas Stamp a Stack November

Join me for my November 2024 Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. We’ll make 8 cards each month (2 each of 4 designs) so you’ll be getting ahead on your Christmas cards each month. We will be using the Artful Amaryllis bundle.

Cost is $40 (local) or $45 (by mail) each month or free with a minimum of a $45 order (before taxes and shipping). Please email me to let me know you are interested in this class.

Two options – in person or by mail.

In Person – class will be held on the last Wednesday (Oct, Nov) of each month at 6:30 pm.
By mail – Zoom will be held on the last Tuesday of each month at 2:30 pm. The class will be recorded and available via YouTube, to watch (or rewatch) at your convenience. You will substitute your own stamp sets or add the stamp set/dies to your order.
