Welcome to the Share it Sunday Blog Hop! Today demonstrators from around the world will share projects that they have been working on recently.
The Linked Together Decorative Masks have been out on my desk and seeing a lot of use this week. I am absolutely loving all that can be created with them.
Here are a few cards I made with them this week.

I used Balmy Blue, Summer Splash, and Pretty Peacock for inks with masks #1, 3 and 5 for this card. That lovely, bold sentiment is from the With You in Mind stamp set.
On the inside, I used mask #5 for a bit of interest.

I love the detail but it also can be ignored. If you have a long message to write, I don’t believe this would get in your way.
Here’s another one with the same colors but they were applied more lightly.

Ribbons, a layered sentiment and a few embellishments finish this card off nicely, don’t you agree?
Here’s another one in a totally different color palette.

This card was created for the @Global Design Project #GDP489 Color Challenge. The colors are Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly and Soft Sea Foam. That delightful sentiment is from the Country Flowers stamp set.
my tips for using the linked together masks
- Always have a piece of grid paper under the piece you are blending on.
- Use a piece at least as big as 5 1/4″ x 4″. You will have a border around it that will remain white.
- Mark the outline of the paper on the grid paper so that if it moves, you can line it up again.
- Add a piece of painter’s tape or washi tape to the top edge to provide extra security for your paper.
- Center the first mask over the paper and use a pen to mark the notch on the top left so you can line each subsequent mask up with the notch too. (I also mark the bottom right corner to give me two points to use to get it straight. )
- Also tape this in place at the top edge- like a hinge so you can lift and see if you have the desired strength of blending without messing up the placement.
- Ink up your blending brush and tap it off on the grid paper first and then rub over the mask.
- Clean your masks under water and dry before using the same mask with a different color of ink.
- Experiment and Have Fun!
