It’s time for our Creativity Abounds Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world- all with different styles- who hope to inspire you to create beautiful cards and send them to friends and family. Each month we create a tutorial that you can receive with an order from one of us as well as a blog post. These are often centered on a particular theme or technique.
Here is a peak at our design team. Join us for one of our Stamp Camps and you’ll get to meet everyone!

This month our theme is fun folds. Have you tried an Interlocking Gatefold Card? It’s fun to make and always looks beautiful. I have chosen to use the new Flowering Zinnias paper. It is so beautiful, bright and colorful. This paper is an online exclusive that is available to demonstrators right now or to those purchasing a Starter Kit. Everyone else must wait until March 4 to puchase.

I’ve used the Stylish Shapes dies and the Deckled Circles to make the interlocking gatefold on this card. It’s so easy to do- IYKYK kind of thing!
Here’s the card when it is opening.

What you cannot see are the partial flowers that I fussy cut and adhered to the left hand side of the Basic White mat that is in the inside.
INstructions
- Cut your card base from Berry Burst card stock 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 2 1/8″ from the left side.
- Fold and burnish on the score line. Then fold the right hand side in to meet the folded left hand side. Burnish this fold.
- Adhere a piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock cut 2″ x 5 3/8″ to each of the front flaps.
- Add a piece of Flowering Zinnia patterned paper cut 1 7/8″ x 5 1/4″ to each flap.
- Fussy cut three partial flowers and ahdere them down the left side of the 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ Basic White mat for the inside.
- Center the 6th largest (count from the center) Deckled Circle on a piece of Berry Burst card stock. Center the 3rd largest Stylish Shapes die inside the Deckled Circle and tape in place with low tack tape. Run through your Cut & Emboss machine.
- Cut a second circle with the same Stylish Shapes die out of Blackberry burst.
- Place the smaller Stylish Shapes circle inside the Deckled Circle frame and center it on the closed card front.
- Adhere only the left side of the outer frame to the left gatefold and the right side of the inner circle to the right gatefold.
- The card should open as shown in the photo above.
- Use the Deckled Circle die that fits closely around a zinnia and die cut from the paper. Adhere to the Blackberry Bliss circle.
- Using the Perennial Postage Stamp set, ink only the “here for you,” in Berry Burst ink and stamp on a scrap of Basic White. Adhere to a piece of Berry Burst and trim.
- Ink only the “always” portion of the sentiment and stamp on the inside decorated mat.
- Adhere the mat to the inside of the card.
- Add bling!
